- WeMap billable events, costs, surcharges and exceptions
Billr takes the usage reports from each of your wholesale providers, rates them against each customer's contract, adds the fixed fees and extras, and hands your invoicing tool one clean invoice per customer. It is the margin and settlement layer between your carriers and your invoices, not another switch.

Compare provider A's October statement with what we rated for their SIMs.
Provider A invoiced €41,860. We rated €40,120 of usage for their 3,214 SIMs. The gap of €1,740 comes from:
| Reason | SIMs | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Roaming CDRs we never received | 118 | €1,210 |
| Data rounded per session, not per day | 640 | €430 |
| SIMs cancelled on 3 October still billed | 22 | €100 |

Which plans lose money on provider B?
Two: the 20 GB EU plan (margin -4 %) and the unlimited calls add-on (-11 %). Both were priced before provider B's rate change on 1 September.

Prepare the new prices for those two plans, +8 %, from 1 December.
Draft price list "Plans Dec 2026" is ready in Billr with both plans at +8 % from 1 December, all other prices unchanged. Nothing goes out before you publish it.
Billr sits between your providers and your invoicing tool, rates every unit of usage against the customer's contract, and keeps the provider cost next to it.
Import call records and usage reports from each wholesale provider, by file or API. Billr rates every call, SMS and megabyte against the customer's own plan, and merges providers into one usage block per customer.

Billr keeps what each unit cost you at the provider and what the customer paid. When the wholesaler's monthly statement arrives, you check it per SIM against the cost Billr calculated, before you pay it.
Because cost and price sit on the same charge, you see which plans and which providers earn you money, and which customers are billed below cost.
Monthly line rentals and subscriptions recur automatically, usage is rated as it comes in, and both land on one invoice per customer and period. Nothing is typed in by hand.

A discount for a late installation, a surcharge for late payment, a cancelled line. Billr issues the correcting lines and credit notes, and the original invoice stays untouched for your accountant and your auditor.
Structured invoice lines in the customer's language and currency, handed to the tool that already sends your invoices and reports them to the tax authority.
Each invoice carries a line-by-line report down to the calls, messages and data behind every amount. Fewer calls to support, shorter disputes.
Billr works from the reports your providers already send you.
| Your providers send | |
|---|---|
| A usage report from provider A and one from provider B | One rated usage block per customer, both providers merged |
| A customer with fibre, two mobile lines and a monthly subscription | One invoice: the fixed fees, the rated usage of both lines and the subscription |
| A provider price change | Cost updated from that date, customer prices repriced by rule |
| Your provider's wholesale rates | The cost of every unit per SIM, to check their monthly statement against |
| A disputed installation | A credit line on the next invoice, the original untouched |
| Month-end | Invoice lines per customer for your invoicing and e-invoicing tool |
Billing shouldn’t take you months to implement

Controls
Billing software is judged on the month it goes wrong. These are the rules Billr enforces so that month does not happen.
Send an event as often as you like. Billr stores it once under its ID, keeps its order or session reference, and it can only ever be billed once.
A run does not start until every data source has delivered up to the period end and no errors are waiting. Nothing goes out until you approve it.
Numbers are assigned when a bill is finalised, in sequence, one bill per customer, location and currency. No holes to explain to the auditor.
A credit reverses the revenue, with or without the cost. A corrected event credits the old charges and bills new ones. The originals stay.
After a price change, see the difference per customer for a selection or a whole period before anything is applied.
Field-level history on prices, price lists, mappings and overrides, plus who started and who approved every billing run.
Every customer runs in its own environment in the EU (AWS Ireland), with its own database, its own users and invite-only access.
It replaces the spreadsheet between them. Each provider keeps sending usage, Billr rates and consolidates it, and your invoicing tool sends the invoice.
Yes. Start with the provider whose built-in invoicing no longer covers your plans, and add the others one by one.
Billr produces the invoice data and hands it to the tool you invoice with today, such as Xero, Billit, QuickBooks or DATEV. That tool sends the e-invoice and reports it, for example Billit over Peppol for the Belgian mandate today, or a tool certified for Germany's rules or Spain's Verifactu when they apply to you.
Unit prices can carry sub-cent precision, so a fraction of a cent per SMS or megabyte is priced exactly, and every rounded amount on the invoice can be traced back to the units behind it.
About four weeks. Week one we map your plans and a month of usage reports, weeks two and three we configure and run Billr next to your current billing, week four you invoice real customers with it.
The first step
You do not need a project, a budget or a decision to find out what Billr would change for you. You need half an hour.
You show us how you bill today: your systems, your price lists, where the month goes wrong. We tell you on the call what Billr would do with it, and what it would not.
One customer, one month: send us the invoice and the data behind it. You get it back priced in Billr, matched against your invoice, with the breakdown behind every line and the analytics on top: volumes, revenue, margin.
A short document: what matched, what differed and why, what we found in the numbers, and what a setup would involve. No contract, nothing to install, nothing to prepare.
If you do not like what you see, you say no. That is the whole risk.
